May 21 HAI@Work Webinar on Fire Season Postponed

Dan Sweet To Our Members

May 20, 2020

HAI had planned to bring you a discussion on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the North American fire season during the HAI@Work webinar this week. Unfortunately, as we’ve all learned over the past few months, schedules routinely change on short notice. While we’re grateful our expected participants are healthy, we understand that their work for the coming fire season takes priority over our webinar. Therefore, we’re postponing this discussion, originally scheduled for May 21, to a future date in hopes that we can still address the topic to the satisfaction of our viewers.

Please join us for our next HAI@Work webinar, on May 28, when we will have representatives from Southern Utah University and the University of North Dakota discuss the status of the helicopter industry workforce. This program will be of particular interest to business owners and students. Both schools will discuss workforce development, including concerns for the current situation under the pandemic, how they are currently operating (or not), and how they will reopen. We expect they will also discuss where aviation  students might work if a traditional first job – air tours – aren’t flying in the near term.
